Perfect Day

Today has been an absolutely perfect day from beginning to end. Most importantly because my little, lovely turns 3 today, and we spent a very enjoyable morning celebrating her.

Then I went to a fabulous World Wide Knit in Public Day (WWKIP) in King’s Garden for a few hours in the sparkling sunlight with a whole bunch of lovely and happy knitters.

It was sweet Slavi who had arranged it via Copenhagen Knitters group on Ravelry and through Facebook.
And I very much enjoyed myself. I did not knit very much – did get a bit done, but only because it felt silly to have been been at WWKIP without having knitted. In stead of knitting I got to talk and  genset and a lot of nice people and there were also many who were interestedin both the Yarn CPH t-shirts and the nice new mug. I was super happy.

The other day I mentioned in passing that I had gotten an idea for a place where IYarn CPH logo “could be. I luckily came to bring the idea into practice, so I could runin the King’s Garden with this on my cargo bike:

What I had painted on the bike before was almost completely chipped off so … yes, soI got the idea.

I lost (of course) sense of time amidst the charm, and had to race back home before the birthday guests came. There was also just a cake to be decorated.

Cookie Monster cupcakes’ne had the whole family worked together to make that morning. It was SO fun.

And the pie is decorated so because, since Pint Rest was a part of my life have been fascinated by the cake decorating and … maybe a tad obsessed with naps this cake. Itwas actually surprisingly easy.
