Bosun

bosun_z
Bosun was published in Twist Collective Fall 2013. Originally the design was named Slipstream, but then Knitty had a pattern by that name, and so now it’s Bosun. It was inspired by the slipstream patterns behind the boats sailing along the canals of Copenhagen, and the diagonal lines are meant to flatter lovely feminine curves.

This cardigan is worked in the one piece to the armholes then divided into fronts and back. The sleeves are knit separately in the round and sewn into place. The sweater features a diagonal cable pattern and waist shaping to create the illusion of an hourglass figure. It has a V-neck and set-in sleeves. The stitch pattern is given in chart form only .
