The idea for the Fjord started with a sketch of some cables that I made. As I was knitting a swatch from the sketch the idea grew, and almost before I knew it I had designed this sweater in my head.
Sometimes something interesting happens when the right yarn and the right idea meet, and this is how Fjord happened.

Fjord is a simple raglan sweater with a panel of winding cables on the back and front.
The sweater is knit in the round on circular and double pointed needles. It is worked from the bottom up. First the body is knit in the round, then both sleeves. Finally, all three parts are joined on the circular needle and a yoke with raglan decreases is knit.
